Our client is a leading Contractor operating in a substantial JV alliance in the Utilities sector. They employ staff directly across the country and have a long heritage of quality Projects and small works, combined with their commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.
They are now seeking an experienced General Manager, able to manage a business unit of up to £12m P&L, focussed on delivering major Projects within the M25 region.
You will be responsible for leading the business unit and able to control and manage the commercial, contractual and team delivery aspects for a range of medium to large-scale utilities sector major projects. From the design through to project completion the works include major water and waste water installations and drainage diversion projects.
You will have a minimum of ten years experience in the civil engineering and Utilities sector with a proven track record in delivering projects.
With full responsibility for a range of projects and Project Managers working for you, you will be technically competent, ideally with a degree or qualification in a Civil engineering.
You will have a driven style to get things done, be a proven leader and build a career within this pro-active and dynamic organisation. You will be articulate, with high levels of commercial and contractual awareness (NEC mainly) and have accomplished man management and financial / P&L abilities within the sector.
The role is to be based in the London and South East of the UK, travel will be required between offices and sites as required.
