Technical (HSEQ) Director, HV Electric Transmission
Six figure remuneration
This is a great opportunity to join the Senior Team in a large and growing electrical transmission business, dealing with both regulated DNO and Grid and non-regulated HV renewable works connections.
As the Electrical transmission industry is developing fast, so is the need to have ever developing systems, procedures and controls to meet regulatory standards.
We are looking for an experienced Technical manager and Chartered Engineer, working closely with HSQE teams in the High-Voltage electrical construction and maintenance sector. The position is within the Senior Management Team ensuring procedures and associated processes are devised, maintained and implemented across a large business, mitigating extreme safety issues, reputation and cost risks. As a senior member of the management team you will be the designated Engineer under the HV electrical safety rules, Chair risk and Electrical Governance Boards and ensure statutory and company safety compliance.
Responsibilities include;
- Implement the electricity safety management system.
- Accountable for the application of High Voltage Electrical Safety rules and procedures
- Undertake the Designated Engineer duty as identified under the company HV Electrical Safety rules
- Ensure that all electrical risk assessments and method statements are reviewed and updated, to remain compliant with all necessary legislation
- Accountable for NERS compliance and lead on representing the company with all audits
- Lead on all incident investigations associated with electricity
- Chair and lead the Electrical Critical Risk Group for competencies
- Chair and lead the Electrical Governance Board
Qualifications:
- Experience in a DNO / NGET as an Assessing Officer and Senior Authorised Person
- Chartered Electrical Engineer
- NEBOSH or equivalent Safety qualifications
