Interim Project Manager
June – September 2019
Rate: £400-£500 per day dependant on experience
2 days per week
Our Local Authority client is implementing a new management information system for their music service. We require an Interim Project Manager to oversee this process. The Management Information System (MIS) is a database containing information about parents, pupils, schools and staff. It allows the Music Service to set-up lessons and bill customers for services.
We want a project manager as soon as possible for 2 days a week until the end of September.
Responsibilities

Coordinate resources to effectively ensure successful execution of the project plan and deliver a quality project

Liaise with Music Service admin team, Senior Managers, other services and the new software provider.

Work with internal staff to develop and plan the project

Develop and maintain project documentation such as project plans, office procedures and Gantt charts
-
Quality assurance of all processes involved in the project

Coordinate set-up of testing environment and develop and execute test plans
-
Assist the users in acceptance testing, developing procedures, and updating documentation

Act as the point of contact for other services and the software provider or other relevant bodies on selected aspects of the project, as directed by Senior Managers

Act as expert resource for the Music Service and including cooperate finance and ICT
Experience
-
Demonstrable success in project management

Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite of software

Substantial experience of software and data system-related project management
-
Demonstrate conceptual understanding of databases including data structures, data flows, data protection and confidentiality.

Ability to work within a team to meet established project goals

Ability to communicate professionally, concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing
-
Ability to generate technical but user-friendly procedural documents
Preferred Qualification

BA or BSc degree in a relevant field

Ability to manage deliverables during all phases of the project
-
Ability to gather, interpret, and communicate complex ideas
-
Ability to understand business concepts and issues as well as technical systems processes

Ability to work independently and as a member or leader of a team with minimal supervision
