Role
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a passionate, friendly and successful team for a UK leader in Environmental Solutions
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Play an integral part in developing and securing new business through profitable growth.

Respond to initial sales and technical enquiries from external customers, produce feasibility reports and manage budgets and proposals as and when required.

You will visit consultants, contractors, developers and end-user customers across the UK to attend to sales enquiries, meetings and carry out site surveys.

You will need to be an excellent communicator who is able to negotiate various Forms of Contract with a thorough understanding of all commercial, technical, operational and financial requirements required as part of your negotiations.

You will be a proactive and ambitious individual with an excellent understanding of the energy market and its requirements - this will enable you to build a healthy sales pipeline in line with your KPI’s.

The role involves financial responsibilities; therefore, you need to be able to raise proposals based on the published price list. You will be required to produce maintenance offers using specific sales tools, as well as maintain records within the Sales files.
Qualifications and skills required

Strong engineering background and previous experience in managing large projects, opportunities and tenders in a sales environment.

You will ideally have commercial and technical knowledge of the Combined Heat and Power industry.

Proven communication and interpersonal skills (face-to-face, verbal and written) are essential.

The ability to demonstrate strong business acumen including a thorough understanding of Commercial Terms and Conditions as well as a thorough understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.

Ability to focus on individual objectives and goals while also working as a part of the team.

A full valid driving license is essential.
