Having faced several challenges such as ensuring property data is accurate and up to date, establishing where compliance responsibilities sit and procuring new contractors, our client now requires assistance in assessing all property related health and safety risks to ensure they are fully compliant. The main focus will be in managing fire safety compliance and the property database.

Responsibilities -

  • Providing support in managing data in relation to various programmes (principally fire safety) and monitoring / reporting on areas of property non-compliance.

  • Regularly updating the corporate property list and ensuring contact details, reference numbers etc. are accurate.

  • Liaison with compliance contractors (e.g. Fire risk assessors), attending contract review meetings, recording minutes / agreed actions.

  • Document management of all compliance risk assessments, surveys and certificates and liaising with on-site staff in relation to recommendations.

  • Analysis of operational KPI data in relation to both statutory compliance and remedial work.

  • Using systems to provide critical performance, insight and budgetary information in relation to compliance.

Person specification

  • Will have administrative experience of working in Property/Housing or FM function with compliance areas such as gas, water, asbestos and electrical safety.

  • Experience at an administrative level of working with Fire safety programmes is important (e.g. monitoring of FRA reviews, Fire safety systems maintenance etc.)

  • An understanding of performance tools in relation to compliance is important (e.g. KPI reporting and tracking programme performance)

  • Sound project management skills in health and safety compliance and ability to monitor and report progress of compliance programmes (e.g. FRA review programme)

  • The ability to provide clear data, performance and budget information to inform operational decisions in relation to property compliance is critical.

  • An understanding of CAFM systems & associated IT driven processes & MI data bases would be useful.

  • We are looking for someone that has an understanding of risk based management in relation to property compliance (e.g. RAG) and the ability to understand what constitutes high risk.
