This is one of the UK's leading Mechanical Electrical installation and maintenance companies servicing a wide range of prestigious clients in both the public and commercial sectors.
The Operations Director will help to grow the business in the Rail sector where the client feels there are good opportunities to service this market. Direct and manage all operational activities, meeting growth, profit and service objectives on Projects.
Suitable candidates will have good knowledge in Rail, financial acumen, P&L management, solid operational ability in the Building Services, Engineering Contracting sector and be growth/client focussed. A thorough understanding in the application of risk management principles is essential.
Role

Develop new business opportunities for engineering installation services into the Rail sector and lead the growth of this Business Unit.

To monitor the market, trends and competitor activity and its effects on the longer term strategy of the business

To retain existing business and identify strengths and weaknesses within current operational processes and look to enhance or rectify them.

Provide strong leadership to the team, retain and develop talent and strengthen the capabilities of the team through effective leadership.

Proactively manage resources in increased sales values and profit levels, whilst reducing operating costs
