Business Development Manager – Utilities sector
North East/ UK with travel
Salary – £60,000 - £75,000 plus benefits package
Company
Our client is a multi national provider of industrial and engineering facilities, energy & outsourced solutions for a wide range of Industrial, power, oil gas and utilities organisations across the UK.
Role
We are looking for a proven and innovative senior development person, with experience of selling and operating mechanical, electrical or industrial services into the water and utilities sectors. Ideally someone who is ambitious, determined and entrepreneurial who can grow a business and lead it.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing and building a £multi million business in the water and utilities sector.

Take full ownership of the sales process from meeting to contract signoff, including proposal development and client negotiation.

Liaise with subject matter experts and the support team, to ensure information is up to date and relevant.

Map out the potential prospects, network and build relationships with the relevant procurement and engineering teams within those customers.

Prioritise “must win” accounts and have a strategy for how they will be converted.
Personal Requirements and Qualifications

At least five years’ experience in a similar sector business development role with a proven success rate

Must have Utilities market experience

Successfully able to build a pipeline and then oversee the operational delivery

Effective strategic, analytical and decision making skills with innovative and creative ideas

Degree/ MBA qualified
